We work many, many hours and strive daily to give each dog and client our very best! Unfortunately, over the years we've had to develop policies in order to keep everyone on the same page and keep everything at The Retreat running like clock-work.
Below you will find the details of how it all works, what charges to expect, cancellation and rescheduling information, and more.
Once you are registered as a client, a full copy of our contract will be electronically sent to you. A signed copy of this must remain on file with us.
Nightly Rate:
Rates are per night and dependent on the number of dogs a client is boarding together in the same suite. These rates reflect a discount for multiple dogs.
Early Check-In & Late Check-Out Policy:
We are always happy to accommodate checking in and/or out beyond the scheduled time frame. Just like a hotel, a client can't check in until the existing is checked out, and the room is clean & ready. If an alternate time is needed, there is a $17 fee to cover the additional 1/2 day of care.
Sunday Check-In & Check-Out:
The Retreat is open seven days a week. Although we don't view Sunday as a regular day of business, if there are dogs in our care, we must be present. In order to encourage our clients to check-in and/or out on an alternate day, and to allow our staff to have a more relaxed day, we implemented a $20 fee for check in & out services on Sunday.
Boarding Cancellation Policy:
A deposit is required at the time of reservation. In the event that the reservation is cancelled, the deposit will be refunded in full if the cancellation is three or more weeks prior to the reserved dates. If a notice of between two and three weeks is given, the boarding dates can be changed and the deposit is transferred to the new dates, no refund is given. We will only allow this transfer of dates one time per deposit. If the cancellation occurs less than two weeks from the reserved dates, the deposit is forfeited. During peak dates, boarding cancellations that occur within 48 hours of check-in time are subject to a charge equal to 50% of the reservation total.
Grooming Cancellation Policy:
All appointments are allotted time specifically for your dog. In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule we kindly ask for a minimum of 24-hour notice. If an appointment is missed and there is no notice or request to change the appointment, a $35 fee will be charged to the card on file. If three or more appointments are missed, your dog will be removed from the regular groom rotation, and you will be required to pre-pay to book. Dog's that present with excessive matting are subject to an additional fee.
Unfulfilled Boarding Dates Policy:
If check-out from boarding occurs prior to completion of the reservation, the remaining dates will still be charged.
Feeding & Medication Policy:
We encourage everyone to bring more than enough food and medications to cover their dog's entire stay. Often times, travel gets delayed, life happens, and a dog may need to stay longer than originally planned. If a dog runs out of food prior to their reservation ending, a feeding charge per day will be reflected on the invoice. The food provided will be dry kibble provided by The Retreat. A medication administration charge will apply to each medication that needs to be administered, unless the medication can be administered by placing in meal.
